What's the MPH shown on a 83 Berlinetta digital gauge cluster

I found a good deal on a digital gauge cluster that came out of a 83 berlinetta camaro, and I just wanted to see if any of yall know what's the highest MPH shown on the speedo read out, before I bought it, cause if only 85 mph I have no use for it

If it matters the car had a 305 v-8 in it

Thanks
John

i have an 83 berlinetta... but it doesnt have a digital dash... my car is as close to being like a Z28 as it can be, except the ground effects... i dont know much about the berlinetta but i've never seen another 83 with a digital dash... it might be a different year

Don't quote me on this but, IIRC, I think someone mentioned it hitting 85 then it just flashes anything beyond that in the electronics forum awhile back. I'm not 100% positive about that though.

My friends 84-86 Berlinetta did just that, hits 85 and then the 85 just flashes.

Yup - It only goes to 85 & then flashes ! I had to install an aftermarket speedo to get accurate readings over the 85 MPH Mark !

The digital berlinetta was only offered in 84-85 & 86 !!!

Thank's guys.... That's all I needed to know. Sorry bout the mis printed year, I was just going by what the guy had listed on ebay.

I don't plan on driving like a dumbass on the street, but even with my very low budget engine build I should hit 105 mph at the drag strip, so the 85 mph speedo won't do me much good..

It would'nt be worth the pain of convertering over to dig. just for an 85 mph speedo

Get a digital cluster from an 87+ GTA. That one goes up to at least 140mph I believe.
