steeringwheel/column

The steering wheel on my car seems to be really loose. It can be moved left, right, up and down about 1-2 inches in each direction. I am wondering what i can do to fix this problem?

If its like the chevy trucks there are 4 bolts inside the steering column that work themselfs loose over time... I had the same prob on a 91 Truck.. had to take apart the steering column to tighten them. Not a fun job... ended up paying someone $50 to replace my lock cylinder and tighten the screws too... GL hope this helps some.
