has anybody ever repaired seat belt guides?

my drives seat belt guide is cracking around the female receptacle. has anyone ever repaired the cracked plastic effectively? I bought some plastic weld but i havent tried it yet. some of this stuff can actually melt the old plastic and doesnt bond very well. Any advise would be appreciated.
