Different T-Tops,

I went to the boneyards this weekend and saw a few 3rd gens that had t-tops that differed from my own in the sense that they had a deeper "channel" around the weather stripping for the t-top. It seems as though that would have been more effective in preventing leaks. Does anyone know what I am talking about, and if so, can a conversion be done ?

mine have a channel like 3/8" deep all the way around. i dont know if they are original or not. i think that GM made a conversion kit that had the channels to go on the cars that didnt come with them to help prevent the leaking problem.

i really never paided attention to that difference.
that might help prevent leaks from rain coming at more of an angle most likely.

If someone took pictures of it, the difference is very noteworth. Almost a half inch deeper or so than mine.
