rear seat shoulder belts??

Hey everyone. Its been awhile since Ive posted on here. Ive been doing a 4th gen console swap, and seat belt swap for the past few days. The front seat seatbelts are a piece of cake. Here is my question. I know some 3rd gens had shoulder belts in the rear. My 87 TA does not however have shoulder belts. Is it possible to use the 4th gen rear shoulder belts in my car? Or an easier question, where does the upper retractor go in a 3rd gen car with rear shoulder belts?? Anyone with some info please let me know. Thanks.

Yeah thats probably what ill end up doing unless someone knows a way to convert them. I was just wondering because the guy I bought the belts off of wouldnt sell me just the fronts. So I paid for front and back, and it would be nice to be able to use the backs as well. If not...no biggie. Thanks. Any more ideas let me know.

If you can, look into an 89-92 thirdgen to see how and where they are mounted. They are mounted to backets spotwelded just above the inner wheelwell, and use different rear plastic panels to cover up the mechanisms. They also use a guide on the top of each side of the rear seatback.

That looks like a lot of work to install shoulder belts that will not be used. My Opinion just forget about them.
