Going to drill into parking lights...will I have a problem with fog??
I will be installing a set of strobe lights on my 84 Camaro sport coupe. I'm putting them into my front parking lights. Remember on this model the lenses are solid orange, not clear, if that even makes a difference. I will be drilling a 1/2" hole in the back of each lens. The strobes do come with a rubber grommet on the base of each light. Will I need to worry about the lenses fogging up since there will be holes in the lenses, and they probably won't seal perfectly? I don't want to use RTV if I don't have to. But if I do I guess I will. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I install strobe lights for a living (police, fire etc. ) and from experiance you have to make sure you do not have any moisture in the lens before you install the strobes. Another tip is to not touch the glass part of the strobe and as extra precaution I always seal the bulb with silicone.

if you slit the bumper under the drain hole area on the parking light, they will not fog up. this was gm's fix for the problem. the bumper cover holds moister (water) up agianst the drain hole of the parking lamp and then the water gets in and "fogs" up the light.
thanks
