Headlights
i am having problems with my head lights on my 84 Z...the bulb is not burning out, but just going out.....i have messed around with the connector a bit and it has come on...i was wondering if i should just buy a new connector, and if so, how hard are they to replace (and also...anyone have some good advice on how to change the damn headlights in an 84 Z? lol...i have not been able to get the nose low enough for me to get the screw out) and if i don't have to replace, what would you guys suggest?
It's a simple cut and splice as far as installing a new connector. Using solder is a better way to go than just buttsplices (which are just asking for future problems).
You don't have to remove the lower screws to remove the bulb; you can simply remove the upper two, bend out the bezel and slide the bulb out of the opening. At least loosening the lower two screws will help prevent possibly breaking the lower tabs.
