Theres a 95 TA spoiler sitting in a junk yard that i'm thinkin gbout buying, only problem is the guy wanted $250 for it. I dont wanna pay that much for it. I plan on putting it on a 89 Formula. I cant stand the black rubber pos i got now. I've heard of people that said it was a direct swap, I just would need to figure out how to get the spoiler to stay on my car. But I've also heard people have had to cut the spoiler in half and trim it or something. What is the deal with it? Also theres a 91TA fiberglass spoiler siting at another junk yard. He wants $150 for the spoiler by it self or $250 for the hatch altogether. How hard would it be to get that spoiler on my hatch that now has the stock rubber spoiler?Thanks--Mav

The 4th Gen spoiler is not a direct swap, it would need some fiberglass work on the pedestals that connect to the hatch. Not sure on the 91 spoiler, depends on where your current holes are if that would swap over. I would say go for the whole hatch, that would be the easiest, maybe not the cheapest though.

Dude..........go for the 91TA rear decklid spoiler and hatch together........much easier to put that one on your car and that spoiler looks so much smoother ..........I had the stock pedestal that went straight across on my bird and replaced it with the 91-92 TA spolier and hatch.........

Get the 91 spoiler by itself and then go a few days later and get the hatch if need be. Maybe even get it cheaper that way.

The 91 style looks awesome, wish I didn't trade mine.

I"m really thinking I'm goign to get the 91 TA spoiler with the hatch together. I'm going to check around first though in a few weeks to see what other goodies I can find. The only real down fall of teh spoiler is its tail with like a empty area in the middle on the tip. I think it would look good If I could put a third break light in it like the 4th gens have. Any Ideas? ALso you think I should keep the spoiler black or paint it like the rest of the car which is maui Blue.
