Yep those are the same guages. Nope, no rattles yet from them. We have them mounted pretty tight, was kinda hard getting the dash back together.

Gotta say kudos to autometer, the gauges are pretty accurate, well as accurate as the ECM is anyway.. we had it up and monitoring with my laptop while the car was on the interstate and they are as on to the degree as they can be..

Looks very nice.
I'd really like to have the Sport comps, but it just doesn't seem worth the cost right now.
What are the details on your setup Bddbrd86?
This is a good post from a while ago, I'm sure many people haven't seen it yet.

looks awsome guys!
I personally would have used the ABS plastic over the whole pane just so it looked the same texture and stuff, but it still looks incredible! I cant wait till I get some $$$ so I can re-do my whole interior. I've got big plans as far as the gage panel goes :-P
Right now mine looks OK but its still very rough. (and I've got AutoGage gauges, too poor to buy the REAL stuff :-P lol j/k)

The setup still works great.. though I am putting the car on the stands for a year to work on it again..
It was sort of a had-to-do thing, no really good gauge options for 82/83 birds..

J,
The gauges look great in there. Just curious, have you thought about using the router on the dremel to put the groove around the ABS to match the existing dash pieces around the tach and speedo? Or maybe sanding down the diagonal corners like the existing too?
Just a thought, to try and match the rest of the dash as well. What did you do about the Idiot Lights that were in those gauges? SES light and such, just disconnect them? Or do you have plans to hook them up to lights somewhere else?
I might have considered staggering the gauges in an up down up down pattern, but i love the way they came out nonetheless...

the corners on the plate were rounded off, cutting them diagonally would be hard since the bolts are not for show they are also holding in the gauges..
I have no belt, brake, etc idiot lights, for the turn signals I simply kept the printed circuit that went to the signals and hacked away the rest, it works fine..
for check engine, it came with my speartech harness with the LT1 so it is actually down by the pcm port..
All in all the only thing I will change on the next buildup is change the order they are in, the temp gauge is partially blocked by the steering wheel..

Gotcha, i didnt lean cut the corners off... Looking back at the top pics, it loiks like the corners are the same height as the rest of the plastic, it just as that routered groove around it.
I like it nonetheless...

Mine has the speedo and tach mounted to a 1/4 MDF board that was attached using the factory screw studs. I then had to use the spacer in the middle of the factory set-up to fill in the gap between the board and the benzel. I laminated a piece of formica to the front of the benzel. I made the holes around the speedo and tach a little bigger thn the benzel to give it a cleaner look. For the turning signal I just cut a rectangular hole where the factory ones were and mounted some lights in the spacer part where they would have gone in the factory set-up. The smaller guages on the side have angled trim rings which aim them to the driver. Since I not running a computer set-up I didn't need a check engine light but I mounted a 1/4 red light that is wired to the brake warning system.
