I imported my 89 camaro from a state that did not require a front license plate. My car has front fog lights and the grill with "camaro" in the middle where the license plate is usually mounted. Obviously when I remove this grill the holes are there to mount the license plate bracket. My question: Was there a different grill for cars which needed a front license plate, did they drill through the "camaro" portion of the grill or were fog lights not an option if you needed the front license plate.

THere was a option for a license plate bracket, check for one at the Dealer or don' t use a front plate. My state requires at front plate also and I never put one on since the car was new and its going on 16 yrs now with no problems from Law Enforcement.

 

how about wire ties?

 

I have a license plate bracket. My question was whether or not there was a different front grille for the license plate option. I prefer to follow the law - less stress and less cost for auto insurance.
