Where can I get a removable steering wheel?

Anybody know? I'm paranoid that somebody is going to steal my car. Kind of hard to drive off with no steering wheel. Are these things safe? How do you get them on and off? It's not going to come off on me going down the freeway is it? I'd like to get one for my 88 GTA. Any info is appreciated! Matt

Usually it's not really the steering wheel that is removable. It's a hub mechanism that goes between the steering wheel and column, and uses a key to remove the wheel and put it back on.

http://www.bakerprecision.com/strghub.htm For keyless systems.

Also, Grant sells a popular system: http://www.spiderautomotive.com/securitysystem.html

And for Grant's official site: http://www.grantproducts.com/default.html Just click on "Horn Buttons & Security Accessories" it should be at the top.

Grant makes a security kit that works with any of their wheels. It has a quick disconnect and you take the wheel with you!

Should be able to find it with anyone who sells Grant products.

Crutchfield sells a pager that can be used stand alone, or as part of most alarm systems:

Looks like a nice product for the price. I still like the glock .40 Idea. Except mine is 9mm.
