Swaping from Mechanical to Electric Gauges?

Ok, so right now my car has the 85 mph mechanical speedometer. I'd like to swap out the whole gauge cluster to the newer electric style like I had in my 88 formula. is it hard to do? thanks a lot guys

I swapped mine in my 85 T/A. The guage clusters are completly different. You need to rewire the cluster so the wires go to the correct connection. You will need a buffer box and a electric VSS.
I used a Dakota Digital box to correct the signal so it didn't matter what gears I had in the tranny or on the VSS.
