Removing Door panel

I am having trouble removing the door panel. I read the tech article about window motor replacement and I have done some searches and I still have trouble. I can get the thing loose no problem, but I cannot get to upper plastic piece free. I cannot move my window down, won't move anymore at all. I want to replace the window motor, but cannot get that stupid door panel off. Somebody please help me. I am afraid I am going to break the thing if I bend it too far in the wrong direction. Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure if they can be removed or not with the window up or not. I would try to get the window down first...try to force it down, you wont be hurting anything anyway cuz you are replacing the motor.

To get it off when the window is down, you simply push away (from the inside) and pull up at the same time. But I guess if you are forced to break it then you have no choice.

All I can say is just try pushing in on the trim piece as far as you can towards the window glass, and then pull up...

I have never tried it with the window up, but it should work almost the same....

I did try to do that. I tried many things to get that sucker off and nothing seemed to be working. I think my only choices are to force the window down, or to break the old upper panel piece. Thanks for the reply.
