Carpet and Headliner
Carpet and Headliner
Hi,
I am looking for feedback on the different carpet and headliner kits that are out there. I would like to replace both in my TTA as they are faded and would like to bring the interior back to looking the way its supposed to.
So anybody have experience with replacing the Headliner and carpet?
How is the quality of the products out there?
Thanks!

Well I am about to do the same thing in a couple weeks with my car. I hear that Hawks Thirdgen has good stuff for this. So does Thirdgenresource. But I hear that Thirdgenresource is bad about getting stuff to you quickly.

Getting info on carpet isn't easy. Most people have ACC carpet, but a LOT of people with the gray acc carpet have said that it turned green within a year. I haven't heard any complaints about the beechwood though.
There's a guy that does buick carpets. I can't remember his name, but doing a search will bring it up. If you spend time on turbobuick.com you'll probably know who I'm talking about. All the buick guys swear by him, but I asked him for samples 2 or 3 months ago and still haven't gotten them, so there's pretty much no chance of me wasting my time with him. Same goes for impallasscarpets.com or whatever that guy is. I asked him for carpet samples and he never sent them to me.
I guess I'm stuck with ACC whether it's good or not.

As long as the black carpet stays black. I doubt it would get lighter without significant time in the sun. It might end up with a slight tint. but nothing you could see under normal conditions.
This new information on the carpet may sway my decision about my own interior color. I may go all black.
