shift pattern for T5
shift pattern for T5
Does anyone know where you can get a new shift pattern indicator for a T5 manual (the little plactic piece on the console that lights up). It is an 85 FB. Mine is cracked and I would like to replace it but have never seen this offered separately. Can anyone help???

I'm aware of some places that sell the 6-speed pattern overlays, but I'm not aware of any that sell the stock 5-speed pattern.

Eddie, I have one that I don't need because I put in a T56, but I don't think it comes out seperately. If it could somehow come out without breaking my shift plate, you could have it.
Jim, do you know of anyone who sells 6 speed overlays for Firebirds? I have only seen them for Camaros.

thanks for the tips guys.
Fbird88, that would be really cool if you could get it out. If I remember correctly, I think it is glued on. I haven't looked at it for a while but there is a part underneath that holds the light that I was actually twisting side to side (it was glued on) because it was crooked and the light wouldn't light up all the numbers. I assume if you get that right off (which I didn't end up doing because I didn't have an inlay) then you would have access to it. It takes a gentle touch not to break it though I would imagine.
If you are willing to try, let me know how you make out!
thanks,
eddie
