Swapping 4 gen parts into a 3rd gen Iroc

I have another question concerning swapping out parts from a 4th gen to a 3rd gen. For instance, seats. I have a split-folding bench in the back and a power driver's side seat in the front. Can I put 4th gen seats into my third gen Iroc? It seems that the 4th gen cars are smaller than the 3rd gen and I don't want to run into a lot of trouble getting these to fit. It was just an idea. If I have to stay with 3rd gen seats, that's fine. I just need to probably re-upholster them. The front black and grey seats are fading and beginning to look blue instead of black.

I'll go ahead and answer before you get a lot "do a search" responses.

4th gen seats are a direct bolt-in, on the split seat in the back, The rods in the middle need to be cut off and then the back seat will work fine as well.

Thanks for the info, but what about the power seat for the driver? Will a 4 gen work in a 3rd gen? Thanks. Cori

If you do decide to go with a 4th gen seats, make sure you get the both wiring harnesses and vacuum tubes. If I'm not mistaken, the colors for both 3rd and 4th gen seats are black and orange. You'll need to splice these two wires and then there is a harness that goes from the driver's seat to the passenger seat which controls the vacuum motor. There is also a set of small rubber hoses that go from the driver's seat to the passenger seat. It's a lot easier than it sounds. Just two spliced wires (because the factory plugs are different), direct bolt-in seats, and a couple of hours, and your interior will be much improved.

the rod in the back doesn't even need to be cut off. Mine fit in fine.
