need advise re. windows

ok so here's the deal: I sand blasted the doors while doing the bodywork and despite plugging up the door, sand still got in and stuck in the grease in the window tracks. I tried the air gun thing and it helped but stil lots of crap in there.

I took a look today and realized there are 3 tracks for the window:

1. one vertical near the door handle end. I was able to unbolt it with the window still in, remove it and clean it out entirely. Then put it back in.

2. A short 6 inch horizontal track approximately where the arem rest goes. Was able to remove this one too, clean it and put it back in.

3. Long horizontal one at the top attached to the window. Can't get to this one (crap stuck on the track wheels too)

So here is what I was thinking: There is a window stop near the mirro attached to the door and there is another smoall one right in track #1 at the top. If I were to remove these two stops, can the window come up a couple more inches so that the top track will just clear the top of the door??? Another person would be holding the window of course.

What do you guys think? Is this possible? Because if I can't get clear access at that track and the wheels, the sand will never come out (it is mashed in there pretty good.

Is this how window glass is normally removed or do you have to rip out everything in there in the process of changing the glass?
