Hey, does anyone else have the problem with rust forming where the spoiler mounts to the rear deck lid? I have an 87 Camaro and around all of those little black plastic plugs is a s**t load of rust. What can I do to prevent this if anything? Thanks.

 

i was thinkin of gettin some general weather stripping from like pepboys or someone and takein the spoiler off and puttin some around it inside to make a seal when its tightened down to stop the water from trying to get in there and then fixing the rust on the bottem part.

 

Ya, that sounds like a good idea. Or maybe jus some silicone around the bolts.

 

My old hatch rusted there but i put a 92 hatch on and it was rust free. Then when i put the 92 z wing on i put silicone on the old plugs and put them in.
