Targa Top?

i remember seeing a post of someone's targa top project awhile back, i am kinda interested in trying to start up this project myself, cept i remember the person's project being on a t-tops model. How much harder would it be to do this on a hard top model, and anyone have a simple explantion that they might be able to enlighten me on the process??

how much harder? a lot. the big advantage of the t-top is that you basically have everything- mounting system, most of the weatherstripping setup, etc.

you have to remove the middle bar, smooth things out so that you can weatherstrip all the way across, then get some broken t-tops and use the end pieces, and fab up a full-width panel, (prob from plexiglass or fiberglass to start).

anyone have pictures of an actual top finished? (and with the panel prototype on too)

also, get SFC's.

I've been wondering how your Targa has been comming along Chris. Mine is in the same shape as it was when I started. I'm finally getting it to my shop next wensday. Dang car crusher took 3 1/2 months to stop by the j/y to get rid of useless cars and that means mine can be moved out
I got some pics of it here,
