what goes between the door and door panel?
Does the order go...Door(metal) sound deadening stuff, plastic wrap like stuff, then the door panel?

The plastic sheet (aka Water deflector) needs to go to the inside. The point is to route water back into the bottom of the door so it can drain out the bottom. Then the insulation (if any) is usually attached to the door panel.
