A/C Trouble

This is my second thirdgen, I'm beginning to think that the A/C in these cars just plain sucks. My 91 took forever to cool off when it's hot and the 92 that I'm restoring isn't much better.

Now, the 92 has been converted over to 134a and it's fairly cool, but I can't seem to get any pressure. It was bad enough before I pulled and replaced the dash, now it has no pressure at all.

Is it possible that I didn't get the duct work aligned properly?

Do you mean pressure from the vents, as in air flow. Or you are not reading a pressure on the low or high side connector on the AC? when converting it to R134a I would highly reccomend flushing the system out before and then putting in a new accumulator and orface tube. $40 and $2 respectively from autozone both certified for R134a. Having 29 inches of mercury pulled on the system(sea level decrease in higher altitudes. Have you had a manafold gage hooked up to the car, if so what are the high and low side readings on max cool. I had R134 in my 89 worked great untill my compressor started going south. I am about to put in a rebuilt compressor/accumulator/expansion valve(orface tube)/ New high side line and flush out my condensor and evapartor since I know I have soem debri in the system from the compressor. Oh yea don't forget to add in more oil when replacing the accumulator and compressor. Dril a hole in the old accumulator and drain out the oil to (in a cup) see how much needs to be added back if only replacing the accumulator. Buy the Hanes manual on AC repair, its a pretty good book. How long of a time is the cluch staying on? How many cans of R135a do you have in it.

Sorry, I mean no air flow from the vents, except for the defroster vents. I don't have any problem with anything related to the r134a setup.

Looks like a vaccum line isn't hooked up right. Had this happen before. Check all vacuum lines.

Make sure the vacuum line under the hood that goes inside the car is still connected. And the black check valve is there and working.
