Temporary Seals
I just got my new t-top seals, and I got the old stuff all ripped out.
But I have an issue.
I por15'd all around the t-top edges to kill the rust and stuff, but for now, it looks really ugly. So here is my plan.
Put the t-top seals down dry, without silicone stuff, and then leave it untill May when I plan on getting it painted.
Then before I take it in, I can take the new seals off, and all those rail pieces, have them paint the car all one color, and then put the seals in permanently.
-Did what I just describe make sense?
-This wont create to many problems will it?

I'll suggest an alternative to using them dry. Use GOOP to install them. It will seal much better than dry and comes off a LOT easier than silicone would. When you're ready to re-paint it won't be hard to remove the GOOP and seals.

Any hardware store. GOOP originally started with "Shoe GOOP", then branched into several other products. I'd try plumbers GOOP. I've also used it as an anti-vibration cure for interior trim panels.
