Rain deflectors??

Rain drops keep fallin' on my head......

What I've got is a 91 Firebird Formula.

Has anyone come up with a Ventshade type arrangement to keep water from running inside the car as soon as the window is cracked open? Here in Dallas it's real hot and we have to leave windows cracked so we can touch the steering wheel and seat belts when we get it. But any shower at all is like pouring water in the window.

Any ideas? Ventshade doesn't show a model before 1993 and I have no idea how close dimensionally a 1993 Firebird or Camaro window opening is to a 1991........

I have a similar problem, not that I leave the windows cracked... but if the car is wet:

I open the door I get wet
I undo the window I get wet
I open the rear hatch and lots of water gets inside...

anyone done anything about this kinda stuff?

yes ive noticed the same thing. even after it rains, if my window is cracked open and i make a turn all the watter comes gushing in off of the roof.same thing with a wet hatch...our cars seem to be giant buckets. i have wondered about the rain gaurds but ive never looked into them.as for the hatch, the only thing i could think of is some sort of barrier around the entire hatch, almost like little gutters that catch the running water. but thats hard to make...guess we'll jsut have to deal with it

If you guys are talking about what I think you are, you can't really put those on our cars for one main reason. We have no top edge to our doors on the windows. I had them on an older car of mine and they attach to the metal of the top of the door. Since our doors only have the bottom metal, and nothing but glass from there up, there's no way to attach them. If you have t-tops it's even worse because you couldn't attach them to the tops. If you don't have the t-tops then you could attach them to the actual roof of the car, but the windows would hit it every time you open the doors.
