In need of Help... about t-tops
I was driving today and noticed wind coming in the car somehow above my head. This has never happend. Turns out that the front, drivers side seal, and t-top aren't meeting all of the sudden. With further investigation it looks like the glass on the t-top is trying to come apart from the side with the handle. So, how is the glass attached to the outer part of the t-top.
Also, since wind is coming through the front of the t-top, could this cause it to fly off or something. That would suck.
Any info appreciated.

The glass is bonded into the perimeter metal channel with adhesive/sealant. The inboard end of the glass is fit under the center "T" bar, and that's all that holds it in place. If that scares you, you should see how the plexi in aircraft is held in place.

I'm talking about the t-top itself. Like pull the t-top off your car and thats what i'm talking about. How is the glass bonded to the side of the t-top where the handle is.
I looked and it looks like it is just sealed with some very thick adhesive, but the bond is breaking.
Also, the front of the t-top when on the car, is not being held tightly into the front seal. It's just basically laying on it, causeing air to come in the car right there.

It's bonded together just like Vader said. The glass is basically glued to the side part where the lock and handle are. It's like a silicon adhesive.
When the T-top is on the car one side is just wedged under the center bar. Seriously it's all just glued together.
Vader? Just how is plexi-glass installed in an aircraft?
