T-top bar replacement Question

i have a problem with my t-tops on my 87 formula, the bar sticks up a bit and i think it's the result of rust. The t-top glass sticks up as a result enough to let air and somtimes water into the cabin, and it really sucks when i wanna drive fast cause it always sounds like the window is slightly craked open and makes a horribly loud wind noise at high speeds. it was that way when i got it and i was wondering if getting a new bar would fix the problem, it looks like there are just 3 screws on each side, so i don't think it would be hard to do after i get the part. if anyone can tell me if a new t-top bar will fix the problem and offer any advice as to the procedure behind replacing it (will i need to buy new weatherstipping?) it would be very appreciated.

Hmm... Well. I dont quite understand what you are describing.

But I suggest removing it BEFORE you get the new piece. There are 3 screws on each side, then 2 more on each end under the weather stripping, after that some gentle tugs will pull off the adhesive.

It may not be a dead piece. You might just have to get some silicone adhesive and stick it back down. Or unscrew it and sort of bend it back down so it wont fold up, but be gentle, it is very malable.
