removing windshield for paint

Just a quick question. before I remove my windshield is there any gasket under it for sealing or just sealant. And where do I get the rubber/plastic strip that goes around the perimiter of it glass. Thanks

i dont know the exact answer, but i would call and ask a local glass repair shop.... they can probly get you the pro stuff cheaper then you can if you even found someone to sell it to you..

Probably because he wants an excellent paint job and not a 1/2 *** job. All that holds our windsheilds in is urethane sealant. Go ahead and cutt'er out then just glue it back into place when it's all done.
