Fix Or Sell

HELLO all
I am sorry for the same old same old post that is oh to familure but after searching though all the "Rust" post's that I could find I think I am the only one with this problem. Ok here goes I have a 1991 RS B4C that is in fair condition she looks good but really could use some paint.
The other day I was checking my rear brakes out when a bubble under the Undercoating in the inner wheel lip cought my eye. Five minuets later and some picking with a screwdriver leave me with one evil spot to have cancer (See pic)
I talk to my dad(former bodyman) about it on the phone and he says go to a junk yard and cut off what you need and we can weld it in So off i go sawzall in hand and all I come back with is a few cuts and a lesson in uni-body construction. The lip is made of at least three seprate panels, is intagrated into the rear subframe and has about Six million spotwelds on it not to mention that it all ties into the shock mount, spring seat and the fuel tunnel.

so basicly Im looking for Ideas on what to do
has anyone ever fixed any thing this for lack of a better word imbeded into the car?

Any help or ideas would really be appreaciated
thanks Jacob

Its a B4C... fix it if you can. I cant tell what area that is from the pic but if its the frame rail you can buy that from Classic Industries.

Doesnt look to bad get the rust and under coating out of the way. Use a wire brush on a drill or a sand blaster then cut it out. make a patch and weld it in it is prob only through 1 layer of metal.

I agree with these guys .....

It doesnt look to bad to me either. Id say fix it too. Specially if its a B4C car. I would not sell it for rust unless it was just eaten up & about to fall apart. But it doesnt look to bad from the pictures we have seen.
