Greasing power windows
Where are all of the pivot points for the passenger side power window? Mine starts as quick as it gets, then slows like it's out of grease or something, and then goes back to normal again. I really am not sure as to where all the contact and hinge points are and what grease I should use on them. Also, I can't find the window motor relay either to replace that if that is what it comes down to. I've stripped the entire interior except the driver's seat and haven't found the bugger yet.
If you take the interior door panel off, you'll see everything you need. There should be something like 3 tracks in there, and a huge half-moon shaped gear. You'll want to clean them with WD-40 and work them up and down a few times. Then lube em up with white lithium grease.
While you're in there, you might as well do the same thing to all the lock linkages and the latch assy.
Good luck,
Matt

Already have the door panel off. Already have done the lock mechanism once, but should probably do it again. I know about the track and the sector gear and the guide tube, but I am pretty sure there has to be more pivot points than that.... And I guess it's a good thing I bought that lithium grease when I replaced the gear nut in the hatch motor...

BTW, onebinky, I noticed that you have taken the emblem off of the front of your Camaro there. How in the world do you do that?
Nope, that's it as far as I know. It's all the angle of the tracks and stops that are installed in there that give it the curvature it needs to seal up. If the window is just gradually getting slower as it goes up, and you already lubed up everything then the motor is probably getting tired.
For the emblem, there are two 10mm sheetmetal nuts on the backside of it and then it lifts right off. Then you just fill it with urethane filler and sand it smooth
Take care

Not quite like you said. It goes faster than slow than fast again as it reaches the top. I don't get it....
