GFX conversion

Yes, I have already tried searching...My question is this, I have an 84 that currently has no GFX and I have a 90 donor car that has everything..I know that they are interchangeable but theres a metal piece on the 90 under the GFX (door GFX) btw, is there a way to take that off? The 84 doesnt have it...and im guessing its needed....any help would be appreciated...

yes you need it. it should be spot welded on. just drill out the spot welds and it should come right off.

gfx is the acronym commonly used for ground effects. they are the pieces that go along the bottom of the car, all around it. they give it a sleaker, lower, more aero dynamic look than without them, though i doubt they really do anything at all to improve aerodynamics.
