T-top rust repair
The t-tops on my 15th anniversary trans am are rusted pretty badly on the drivers side. it appears to be just a piece of metal that covers the main t-top support that is rusted it is black and has like 3 screws in it. I removed the screws thinking it would just come right out but it wont can someone please tell me what this is and if it can be removed and how. Also I need some rust repar advice. I have sanded some of the rust down. It is mostly surface rust. has anyone used Naval jelly ive heard it disovles rust but i want to know how good it is before i buy it. Is there a certain kind of primer i should put on once the rust is removed. sorry for all the questions, this is my first project car. She is a 1984 15th anniversary edition Trans Am. Needs a lot of work mosly body and interior. Any advice you can give me will be greatly appreciated, thanks.
