Rear wing on Convt Camaros

How are the rear spoiler and the trim on the quarter panels attached on 3rd gen convertibles? I see some screws but when removed the thing still won't budge.

Glued down, maybe?

Any suggestions for removing them to do some rust repair before painting would be appreciated.

I have a 88 Convertible Z with the rear spoiler actually attached with glue orignally. However one day it happened to fly off while I was on the freeway. I had it replaced at the dealer, this time it was screwed on.

The center section is held on with 3 or 4 body screws and a rivited plate.

The sides are help on with a few scres and double sided tape.
