Front seatbelt removal

How do i get the "recieving end" of the front seat belts off? I'm in the middle of taking out my carpet and i ran into this. I want it to come off without breaking it obviously. Any help?!!

It takes a #45 torx bit and sometimes a breaker bar with a pipe on the end for leverage depending on how long they have been in there without being removed. Kind of like lug nuts on a tire. I have been through this about 4 or 5 different times.

But how do i get the plastic cover off without breaking it?

I had a feeling that you were going to ask about that and was going to put it in my edit and thought "nyyyyyah" he wouldn't ask that so why add it. But since you did ask, if you are talking about the round little piece of plastic that goes over the bolt. You can lift the edge of it up with your fingers and turn it clockwise until you see a little lip on it, pull back it a little so the lip will catch and turn it counter clockwise. It only takes about 1/2 to 1 turn after you get the lip started.
