new fiberglass hood, need new struts?
I just picked up a new fiberglass hood ( will be delivered on monday, wohoo!) and was wondering if i can use the stock hood struts to lift the new hood. Ive heard that they are to powerful, is this true?. Also, without that black material under the hood ( the thing to block heat or something like that) will the fiberglass get to hot and/or warp?

struts that are worn out and wont hold a steel hood up are what u need, should be easy to get for free too. The insulation doesnt seem to make the hood cooler, seems hot as always with or without it.
