front seat information
Hi,
I just bought a 1984 Z28. The driver side seat needs to be replaced. My question is: it currently has a power seat, will a regular seat fit on the rails or do I need to get a power seat to replace it?
Also, what other car 'seats' will work?
Thanks!!
Judi

any car seat that can fit in the space provided will work, do you bolt in and go or modify to work. I have seen everything from cav/sunfire seats to vette seats, drag seats, any camaro seat from 82-02 will bolt right in power or not. It'll depend on how much work you wanna do to get it to fit into the car.

Since I don't really know what I'm doing. I'm going to say not much to change the current set up. So I want one that I can just replace the current one with.

All you have to do is unbolt the power seat motor from the old seat, remove the conventional rail from the new seat and bolt the power seat motor to it along with the trim. Very simple to do.
