rear impact bar help?

the metal piece that mounts to the end of the frame rails in back and then the impact strip or bumper recoil thing whichever u want to call it and the rear bumper cover mount to it?

mines rusted out somewhat and later when i add ground effects to my plain jane im goin to replace that since its rusted just wondering if it was welded to the frame tips or just bolts on

hopeing it bolts on thanks

I don't know about the back but i assume it's the same as the front, i changed my front one with an aluminum one (off a 4cyl car) and it was just 8 nuts 4 on each side.

Yes, it bolts on just like the front one. Remove the 8 nuts and it comes right off. If you're changing to a Z28 look, just get a used Z28 impact bar with the plastic "eggcrate" impact absorber already mounted on it and put your Z28 rear cover over it.

Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
You can use the non-Z 'eggcrate' with a Z bumper cover. The only difference in the Z ones, is they have a bit of a kickout on the bottom to fill in under the molded-on rear FX skirting. That little bit missing won't matter much.
