and
and will it fit my car, im not sure what kind of transmission is in it but i know its a 305 and its a 4 speed auto

The rachet action works from 1st to neutral. That includes upshift and downshift. Then you have the lockout handle to keep you from going into reverse and park while bangin through the gears.
All the major mail order places have them and its in the $150-$160 range. I have one myself and its fun to use but sometimes I miss the simplicity of my stock shifter. Plus, everytime I take my car to get detailed, the attendants never can figure out how to work it... I have to pull it in the stall for them
