Body filler

Is there any way to check and see if a car has Bond-O or some other type of body filler? I'm going to check out a car owned by a body shop and i want to see if he's trying to screw me over. How can you tell (if it's possible)?

You can use a magnet and go over the body

actually theres no exact way to check and be sure.

the magnet trick works thats true.

but u can get around the magnet trick if u take metal filings or shaving like fomr a dril press and mix them in yur bondo the magnet will stick to it.

mainly its hard to detect if they do it right if not then they will be wavy and very noticable by the plane eye.

so try the magnet that will be one give away but thats not to say there isnt some there. that they might have used metal to metal filler or shaving in it.

but alot of ppl dont know about the shavings but now they make metal to metal which puts metal back in dunno if magnet will stick to it or not tho.

Owned by a body shop, usually a fix up job that he got wrecked and fixed it, you cna see how good the paint is on some pannels, if its nice, he either repaired the pannel or replaced it, but if it all looks dirty adn scrathed and ****, he didnt touch it, he could have gotten it from whoever and jus wants to sell it, at least thats what we do at my shop
