head light switch questions

how do you take off the **** that you pull out to turn the head lights on for a 91 camaro because i am trying to put on a new gauge bezel

If it's like the earlier ones there is a litle clip on the back side of the ****, you push it in and pull the *** out.

It's not like the old ones. There's a little round button on the bottom of the switch itself...you have to push the button in and the **** and shaft will come out together. The best way I've found is to take the knee panel off and use a long screwdriver or extension or something to push the button.

The GreatJ is right. There is a button on the bottom of the switch. Remove the knee panel and look up, you will be able to see it. The headlight switch must be in the on position if I remember correctly. Then push the button and remove the ****/shaft assembly. Viola!
