I got mine painted at a local body shop. I had a hard time finding a shop willing to paint an entire car, most of them did insurance claims. I got the less-expensive one-stage polyurethane in Gunmetal Metallic, and they did extra prep sanding to the car since I went crazy with the spray paint. $200 for the additional sanding, $900 for the paint job, and $50 for black headlamp pockets. A couple other places I called gave similar estimates. It turned out a lot better than I expected, as if it were the original, but not BCCC, finish.
I would have liked to have gotten it done for less money, but going for the one-stage as opposed to the two-stage saved a lot. That was the main thing. Also if the car was ready to be painted, already sanded and primered, it would have been less because I could have taken it to the $299 spray booth.
Some information comparing one stage/BCCC:

the 900$, did that include the paint, primer, and labor? i have been debating on sanding it myself or not, but didnt know if that would really be more trouble than its worth. thanks alot.

Yes. I tried to spray paint the car, and the new paint won't stick to spray paint. The paint job would have normally been $900 which includes everything, but they had to strip all the paint off in my case for the extra $200.
gotcha. i called a few places, and have been getting similiar estimates. i appreciate the advice
