hatch release

found a hatch releas switch in the junkyard today. all i need is an electric release mechanism in order for it to work, right? and then i just wire it up like it's supposed to be? any ideas? anybody ever done this?

I'm also planning on doing that, and if I remember right, there's a relay you need to get in addition to the solenoid.
