installing seats
hey guys, I just recieved my pair of APC G3 racing seats. I haven't checked yet, but it states that the bolts mounting holes for the sliders are 13" wide, I know I measured earlier and found ours were about an inch to narrow(bolts). if thats true, how should I go about his? maybe weld a piece of metal to the inside of the track? or just move 2 of the bolts ? but then it might not be centred so I might have ot move all 4.
cheers

Yea, putting seats in a camaro without the expensive brackets could be a headache. if you check closely, the new seats are 13 (i think) wide in front and back, while the mounting screws on your floor or different for front and back. What I did was used the stock sliders and custom fab'd adapters. Bought two 2x50? rolled steal, which i then cut to size, and drilled holes to match it up. I also had to drill holes an inch and 1/2 in on my stock sliders. For example, on the left *slider*, i had to drill two holes, so for one seat, its a total of 4 holes in your stock sliders. This was just a cheap and fast way I used to do it. I drew a diagram to maybe explain myself. Hope this helps a little.
