Alright....am I the only person on here with this hood?

What does everyone think of these hoods?

Does anyone know any information as to where to get them, because I have the feeling that they are not made anymore.

This hood was bought by a previous owner back in the summer of 2000 from Motion Performance Parts in Baldwin, NY. I have located their website, but it seems like they one deal in replica model boats and planes now.

Here's a pic of mine on my 88 TA

I think it looks great! The fitment looks poor, but the design is one thing I like! It looks just enough like the Power Buldge for a factory look, but is 'custom' enough for my Kitt w/a Twist!
This is the only site I found the carried the product.

I e-mailed them and they say that they have a hood scoop, but don't offer a complete hood like it. This was several months ago though. BTW the pics are towards the bottom of the page.

I hope I don't throw this thread off topic....kinda like the looks of that if I still had my formula...only looks like it can be made functional with a tbi though.

About the IMSA pics at the bottom of the previous link. I've seen those same ones somewhere else as well....but I have yet to see pics of one on an actual car.

Come on...somebody has to have one.

bringing this thread back to life. i talked to www.showcars-bodyparts.com and they told me $595 plus shipping for the hood. they said it is a special order item. he also tried to sell me the bond on scoop as well, but i want this hood. if motion still makes on i might go with them. i dont know of the quality of the showcars guys. has anyone bought anything from them before? i am going to post a new thread to find out if anyone has bought stuff from them.

so hopfully you wont be the only one with that hood.

thanks
anthony

Words from the wise:

I bought a spoiler (reproduction GTA) from them about 2 years ago. It took them SEVERAL months to get it to me (and it was in ebay auction!). Not only that, but after two bodyshops each took turns at it - it still looks as wavy and warped as a stock piece. Their gelcoat on the outside doesn't stick worth a dang...just flakes off when sanded. Honestly...I wouldn't EVER buy anything from them again, no matter how much better their prices were.

Just my 2 cents. Hope everybody else's experiences are better than mine.

sorry about your experience

I ordered mine about 3 weeks ago from them directly(no ebay) I'll just have to wait and see about the quality of their work.

Finally got my hood today. All I can say is WOW excellent quality and craftmanship. Sorry I did not have my camera with today so no pics at the moment( i will get pics though). It only took ONE coat of primer to get it ready for sealer and paint and a total prep time of about 1 1/2 hours. more to follow
