i put one on my formula, so maybe the same procedure would apply. after i took my old aerowing off, i first put some plastic mesh in the hole the covered that with a fiberglass resin. after it dired, i sanded and then applied glazing putty. i let it dry, then sanded it smoothly. after i patched the holes and smoothed everything out i measured the hole position for my z28 highrise. i drilled the holes and installed it. then sent my car to the shop for a brand new paint job.
you should be done with the installation in about an afternoon. an extra pair of hands is useful when drilling and installing.
hope it turns out great!

I just had a friend come over and weld the holes shut. Of course i already had acquired a hatch form the sema car that i got my high rise spoiler from, so we only had to weld the holes where the wraparound pieces were. After welding it, i just smoothed it down with a high speed grinder, but you gotta take it easy with the grinder not to get a lot of heat in the metal or it will start to warp ever so slightly. Any imferfections in the weld were then filled in with putty, sanded and primered. I can get you a pic of the finished corners if you like.

i used some yellow mesh i found in my shop. it didn't have any adhesive. any mesh will work, it just gives the body filler something to hold onto. i hope yours turns out great, i love mine.
