What's it take?

well for starters you'd ned a high quality gun + a good compressor (if you like a nice finish) second a quality paint, third you need a room with a positive air flow (air constantly moving) and a garage or other suitable place, proper lighting and then lots of masking patience.

i was planning on painting my own car but i don;t have a garage and without it your SOL . don't even bother trying to paint it outside or under a tarp , there will be so much dirt and crap in it it will look horrible.

theres probably a few things i forgot but thats the gist of it

Body Work- Body work is the paint job. Without good body work...you're wasting you're time and more importantly you're hard earned money.

Dirt And Dust-This kills everything also. You need a garage at the least...make a paint booth with a ventalation system. Spray everything down before you paint to make the dust settle.

Tools-Without the right PSI to the gun you're ruined. A good gun and a good compressor you're going to have to have. Along with some bondo or led (if you're old school). Along with body tools.

Do some searches...lots of info on this here man.
