body filler

what is the best way to see if a car is full of body filler? should i just take a magnent with me when i go look at the car? or what i mean i know sometimes you can see waves etc... but if you cant what is the best way when going to look at a car that isn't yours? as we all know some people aren't as honest as we would like them to be... or is there some other clear signs? thanks for the help.

this is body i would suppose that's why i put it here, if it's not please move or lock it.

one way is to tap the side and listen for density changes.. if there is that much.. though I have seen some come from the factory with some body work.. a small amount is usally a fact of life.. but taping it is the only way I know of .. the magent thing migh work ,, but you would need to be pretty sensitive to feel the changes in the magnetic attraction..
