Fiberglass or metal?

I recently dented my driver side fender. I need to find a replacement, because fixing it would cost a lot more. I can get a fiberglass one for cheap, but is it better that getting a metal one like the original stock fenders? What should I do?

personally I would go with a metal one.. I don't know if the glass one would be better or not.. though if it was a SMC fender.. that would be cool.. but between standard glass & metal.. I would thinkthe metal one would be better..

if youre getting a fiberglass fender, get both, along with a hood

I slid up on a guys lawn and hit a tree branch. The branch shape and the way my car slid was juuuuuuuuust enough to hit only my fender. My hood is not bent at all! just a little scratched. I was extremely lucky, and I only need to get a fender!

I've never seen just one fiberglass fender for f-bodies, if you want fiberglass you're probably going to have to get a whole front clip. The cheapest fiber front clip I've seen was $675 I think. Go here: http://www.hairyglass.com/camaro.html

A fender from the pick-a-part would be cheaper, but then your car wont be on a diet.

Later,
Harry
