Since the physical installation of the dash and console has been covered, and the wiring of the gauge cluster has been covered, please do not bring them up in this thread. It's already been covered and is easy to find in a search. This thread isn't about swapping the other 4th gen parts either, so please folks lets focus on these issues.

The only questions I have about the actual dash is the passenger side airbag cover. Since I have a camaro, can I use one from a camaro in the firebird dash? They look to be the same, but I'm unsure. And are the headlight and dimmer switch panels the same on 97-02 camaro's and firebirds? I'd like to use the black ones from a camaro if possible.

First off: The door panels. I've seen the posts where people have swapped them in, but I still have alot of unanswered questions.

-If I want to run side bars on my roll cage that are lower to allow easier entry, can I still use the later style which have 2 speakers or do I have to use the earlier 1 speaker style?

-Will the black switches from a 4th gen camaro's door panels work on the firebirds?

-Has anybody got them mounted securely with functional speakers, without have rattles?

-I'd like to see more clear pics of the door panel install showing what mods are necessary.

As for the Heater Controls, I removed AC from my car, so a heater is all I need. The 3 center vents will have gauges in them so I need only the floor, and 2 outer upper vents to heat, and the defrost to work. I plan on getting some silver overlays for it and use black ***** from a camaro.

-I know that early 4th gen 1LE's didn't have AC, was AC delete available on many other models and from what years?

-Would they use the vacuum like the AC cars do or just cables like the 3rd gen non-ac cars did?

-How do their connections differ from the 3rd gens and the regular 4th gen HVAC?

-Is there any other heater controls that would interchange for this application (anybody got a hollender manual)? One that phiscally looks like the 4th gen but has the same hookup as a 3rd gen AC version one would be ideal.
