hood alignment
can someone give me the instructions to install the factory hood on a 1986 trans am. i got a new one and i have gaps in different areas

I dont know if theres instructions,but loosen the bolts on the sides of the hood on the hinge.You should be able to adjust it Fr to Rr & also side to side a little.

yeah you just gotta play around with it until it looks right. on my old camaro i took the hood off to test fit a cowl hood, and then when i tried putting the stock hood back in it took forever to line it up again
if the hood you just put on is the exact one that got taken off of it, then just mess with the 4 screws at the hinges. if it's a different hood than the one you took off, you might have to adjust the locking mechanism. there's a bolt on there that you can loosen and the whole locking mechanism can slide up or down.
there's no special instructions you need to get it to fit right, just patience

Yup, just takes patience.
Might be a good idea to have a buddy to help you manuever it around and hold it where you want it so you can tighten 'er up.
