Front License Plate Frame
I have a 1992 Firebird. I used to live in OK where we only had to have 1 license plate, but I recently moved to TX where we have to have 2. My car never had a front plate or holder for it, but I purchased a vehicle specific one (w/o hardware) from a Pontiac dealership here. It's a black piece of plastic with like 8 holes for screws and a large hole in the middle--no brackets or anything. Has anyone ever had to put one on their car, and if so, how did you do it?

You drill holes in your happy, hole free bumper, and make it unhappy.............
Thats a load of
, they should make a bracket that does NOT require you drill holes in your bumper cover.

Well, I have a bra on my bumper 'cuz of some cosmetic damage done by a previous owner, so I'm not horribly worried about putting holes in my bumper, just making it stay on. Should I secure it with nuts on the other side or will the screws hold?

Your bumper probably has dimples where the screws would go through. While you were at the dealer you should of asked or picked up what kind of hardware was needed. I'm pretty sure self taping screws will work fine though, that's how the camaro's license plate mount is held on.

Yeah, my wife was actually the one that went and picked it up and my first thought was "No hardware", but I'm resourceful. . .I can figure out where to get some screws from. Thanks again.
