bonus points of they're small...

im currently annoyed with the size of my AC box. im considering making a new one from fiberglass.... i got to thinking, if im going to reshape the box, i might as well put a diffrent blower motor in.

the stock one sucks.. it doesnt blow anywhere near hard enough for me...

so heres what im looking for:
  • What cars have air blowers that blow hard/lots of air?
  • what cars have small (modern) AC systems?

From what i understand it's not only the blower motor that is causing it not to blow hard, it's the lack of tight connections inside the dash letting air escape before it gets to the vents. I've driven a 98 Neon and noticed that the a/c blew hard. No idea about the size of it though.

the '03 f-150's (and prolly 97-03) blows so hard that its actually annoying on high...

I want to replace mine too, I wonder if just replacing the motor with a new one from autozone will help...?

This is VERY true. My father's 93 Cavalier, when new, would make you feel like you were in a blizzard in the middle of the summer when it was turned up on high and the A/C was working. After many years of coolant problems and opening/closing the heater box after doing whatever to the dash, it just don't blow as hard anymore (or as cold-the A/C is broke).

Also, some of the vacuum doors in the ducting are designed to stay partially open when not activated for whatever mode the HVAC head is in. If you are able to fix that, I'm sure the fan would blow harder than it usually does even when new.
